Meal prep is one of those things that seems impossible to know where to start, but once you have a good routine down, it changes the way you'll be cooking in your kitchen forever. This simple ground beef recipe is one of my household essentials that reduces my cooking time for dinner rapidly.
I love to prepare it in massive quantities, separate it into individual quart size ziploc bags, and freeze them to have on hand for the meals that I can make out of it. Whether it be Chili, Aush, or Sambosa, this is my go to recipe that makes all those meals half way cooked before I even enter the kitchen.
Simple Ground Beef Recipe
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp salt
1 medium onion
¼ c oil
1 c water
1 tsp minced garlic
Dice your onion into medium sized diced pieces
Utilizing a large pot, add oil and diced onions. Turn heat to high and cook until oils are translucent golden brown
Add in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until they have cooked in the oil well.
Turn down the heat to low, add in ground beef, salt, and water, mix well.
Turn heat back to high heat and allow to cook, stirring occasionally, until all of the liquid has evaporated from the pot.
Turn off heat and serve. Noshejaan!
